Dr. Jay W. Henry is a founder of Hermann & Henry Eyecare, helping it grow into one of the top optometric practices in the Central Ohio area. He has been recognized for both his clinical excellence and leadership in advanced eye care technology.

- Earned his Doctor of Optometry (OD) and Master of Science (MS) in Physiological Optics from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1998

He has been widely published in professional journals, books, clinical references, and web-based resources. Dr. Henry was also the first optometrist in the United States to use optometric software for electronic prescribing of medications.

Dr. Henry is actively involved in organized optometry and community leadership, including:
- Active member of the American Optometric Association
- Elected board member of The Ohio State University College of Optometry Alumni Association
- Served as Chair of the Membership and Mentorship Committee for the Ohio Optometric Association
- Locally served as an elected trustee and secretary for the Central Ohio Optometric Association
- Former member of the Reynoldsburg–Pickerington Rotary Club
Dr. Henry is also a strong supporter of the Pickerington community, including local schools, organizations, and businesses throughout Pickerington, Violet Township, and surrounding areas.
Outside the Office
Dr. Henry lives in Pickerington and enjoys:
- Spending time outdoors
- Playing soccer
- Most of all, spending time with his wife, Dr. Julie Henry, and their two grown children, Jacob and Jillian
